Development of the mobile internet suppliers (and lastly 3G technology) and increase of their speeds for reasonable prices, has increased demand to the mobile internet devices dramatically in the last 2-3 years. It was a dream 3-4 years ago for a moderate home user to reach a mobile internet with a cheap price. But nowadays starting from 10 $ / month anybody can have a 3G HSPSA UMTS supported sim card. And placing this mobile internet sim card to appropriate mobile hardware (Netbook , 3G handy or Tablet Pc) he can take advantage of mobile surfing in internet easily.
Netbooks (actually smaller notebooks) we know very well. They are using Intel atom n480 - Intel atom 450 series processors or their small brothers Intel n280 - Intel n250 series. Not standard but they are shipping generally up to 10-11 " screen size , 1 GB DDR Ram , 160 GB -250 Gb Hard disk .Some Net books support an integrated built in 3G modem , while some other support over 3G simcards just over an external USB port plugging a USB Surf Stick Modem. These types of external Usb Surf sticks are generally using HUAWEI Chipsets. And they support up to 7.2 Mega Bits Per second (MBps) download speeds depending on the mobile provider.
Turning the net books again, they are quite good and fast machines concerning mobile tasks. What are these mobile tasks? For example surfing the web sites, sending receiving emails , opening video share sites like YouTube or Metacafe , instant messaging programs like MSN , Skype , Yahoo Messenger , QQ. Making video chats over this , IM programs (with models having web camera ).Face book , and other many social network platforms are now part of the Mobile tasks. But problem with net books are they are still not so small and not so ergonomic to use them everywhere or quickly and practically.
Because of these disadvantages, smaller 7" Google Android Tablet Pcs seem to be good solutions for everyone. There is everything in these small pcs :
Wifi 802.11n , 3g modem (actually HSUPA/HSDPA/3G/EDGE/GPRS Modem ) , rear Camera upto 3.2 Mega Pixel , front camera , G sensor (gravity sensor) , GPS , Web Browsers , Flash 10.1 support , Java support , 600 MHZ - 1 GHZ CPU , 256 MB - 1 GB DDR / DDR 2 ram , DSP chips ( Digital Signal Processing ) , telephone functionality like normal handy (in Samsung Galaxy Tab) , Bluetooth 3.0 , Multitouch screen , Multitasking (Again in Samsung Galaxy Tab) .
Another popular device is iPad . But:
Beside the iPad’s nowadays success, Android PC will in near future control the slate tablet pc market and overall sales numbers of Apple. Experts say that, "we think that Apple won’t have the majority of the market share. New Market probably is with Android 2.2 based tablets. The analyst also takes a interesting view of sources showing Apple could sell up to 40 million iPads in 2011, finding the number a little bit huge. 15 to 20 million seem to be a more realistic figure.
Apple is however said to be working on a 7" iPad model, which could mark a change in the pattern of sales, if it is real.
Even if Android tablet Pc do become dominant, the iPad could still represent the most popular device manufactured by a single company. Android products will finally be spread amongst several different makers; these include Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC and others. Among all of these devices the Samsung Galaxy Tab has a special place...
